International Association of Geophysical Contractors President of 26 Years Retires
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2001--After more than 26 years of service, Charles F. Darden has announced plans to retire as president and chief operating officer of the International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC). The board of directors of IAGC has formed a search committee to select a new president, and Mr. Darden will continue to serve until a successor is named.

"Chuck Darden is the first and only full-time IAGC president since the association's inception," said Doug Elrod, IAGC chairman of the board. Without question, the geophysical community contains the finest and most professional men and women found anywhere. I wish both my successor and the global IAGC organization continued success in the future."
